Upstox market data

Real exchange prices. Virtual trades. This connection never submits broker orders or reads your brokerage account.

  1. Create an API app in Upstox Developer Apps and generate an access token.
  2. Open PowerShell in your project folder and run:
    powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\scripts\creds.ps1 set upstox_access_token
    Enter the token in that hidden local prompt. It is stored in Windows Credential Manager. Do not paste it into chat.
  3. Click Connect data below. Replace the token and reconnect when it expires.

What this version supports

Search the provider’s NSE/BSE EQ catalogue. Watch up to 100 stocks. Active quotes refresh every 5 seconds; candles every 30 seconds. These are REST snapshots, not a tick-by-tick stream. All listed stocks are searchable; they are not all streamed simultaneously.

Paper fills require an open exchange, a quote response under 20 seconds old and a trade under 60 seconds old. Pending orders pause during outages or market closure. There is no automatic end-of-day square-off. Close positions manually while fresh quotes are available.

Mock practice is a separate saved account. Astra and real-money trading are disabled.
